1. Accepting these terms
By installing or using Fakkarni, or by using this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. Your licence to use Fakkarni
We give you a personal, free, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Fakkarni on devices you own or control. You may not:
- sell, rent or redistribute the app, or publish modified copies of it;
- remove copyright or trademark notices, or present the app as your own;
- use the app to break the law or to harm, harass or spam other people.
The Fakkarni name, logo and design belong to the developer. These terms don't give you any rights to them.
3. Your content
Everything you write in Fakkarni (reminders, drafts, notes, promises and goals) belongs to you and stays on your phone. You are responsible for what you write and for the messages you choose to send through other apps such as WhatsApp, SMS or email.
4. Reminders and reliability
Fakkarni is built to ring on time, but it runs on your phone, and some things are outside its control. A reminder may be late or missed if, for example:
- notifications or the “Alarms & reminders” permission are turned off;
- battery saver or a manufacturer's power-management feature stops the app;
- the phone is off, out of battery, or set to Do Not Disturb;
- the app's data was cleared or the app was uninstalled.
Don't rely on Fakkarni as your only reminder for anything where a missed reminder could cause harm, such as critical medication, medical devices or safety alarms. Self-growth check-ins and kind replies are encouragement, not professional, medical or psychological advice.
5. Third-party services
Some features hand off to other services: Google Drive for optional backup, and your dialer, maps, WhatsApp, SMS or email app for actions like Call now, Directions and Send now. Those services are run by others and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We aren't responsible for them.
6. Downloads and updates
Only download Fakkarni from this website or from its official Google Play listing once available. Copies from anywhere else may be altered and unsafe. You can check a download against the SHA-256 checksum shown on the download section. Updates may add, change or remove features.
7. No warranty
Fakkarni is provided free and “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the extent the law allows.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for missed reminders, missed appointments, lost data or lost opportunities arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Keep your Google Drive backup turned on if your data matters to you.
9. Stopping use
You can stop using Fakkarni at any time by uninstalling it. We may stop offering the app or this website at any time. If you break these terms, your licence to use the app ends.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The new version will be posted here with a new effective date; continuing to use the app after that means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, without affecting any consumer protections you have where you live.
