Privacy Policy

Fakkarni is a reminder app. It has no account, no server, and no advertising or analytics. This page explains exactly what that means.

The short version

  • Your reminders, promises and goals are stored only on your phone.
  • Nothing is sent to us. We have no server that could receive it.
  • Backup is optional and goes to a private folder in your own Google Drive.
  • No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no selling of data. Ever.

1. Data on your phone

Everything you create in Fakkarni stays on your device: reminders, messages you draft, appointments, tasks, promises, self-growth goals, daily check-ins and your settings. This data is stored in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read.

The app works fully offline. It does not need, and does not ask for, an account.

2. Contacts

When you pick a contact for a Call or Message reminder, Android lets you choose a single contact. Fakkarni keeps only that contact's name and the phone number or email you chose, on your phone. It never reads or uploads your whole contact list.

When you tap Call now or Send now, Fakkarni opens your phone's dialer, WhatsApp, SMS or email app with the details filled in. You send the message yourself; those apps handle it under their own privacy policies.

3. Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to connect Google Drive, Fakkarni saves backups in Drive's private app data folder in your own Google account, using the drive.appdata permission. Only Fakkarni can read that folder; it does not appear in your Drive files, and we, the developer, cannot access it.

  • The app reads your Google account's email address only to show which account is connected.
  • You can protect backups with a password. It is used on your phone to encrypt the backup, never leaves your phone, and cannot be recovered by us if you forget it.
  • Data travels between your phone and Google over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
  • Disconnect at any time in Settings › Backup.

Your use of Google Drive is also covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

4. Permissions

5. Sharing and selling

We don't collect your data, so there is nothing for us to share or sell. Fakkarni contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics and no crash-reporting services that send data off your phone.

6. Keeping and deleting data

  • On your phone: delete any item in the app, or uninstall Fakkarni to remove all of its data.
  • On Google Drive: backups stay in your Drive until you delete them. Open Google Drive › Settings › Manage apps › Fakkarni › Delete hidden app data.

7. Security

Data is kept in the app's private storage, backups can be password-encrypted, and the app can be locked with your face, fingerprint or phone PIN. When the app is locked, notifications hide the reminder's details. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so please also keep your phone protected with a screen lock.

8. This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch them; see Google's Privacy Policy. The server hosting this site may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.

9. Children

Fakkarni is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone, of any age.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, the app will tell you before it applies.
